PARTICIPATION INFO
Passport and Visa Information: A valid passport is mandatory to enter Mexico, however visitors of the USA, Canada and some European countries do not need a visa.
Medical Information:
It is very important that you let the Retreat Staff know of any medical condition(s) that may affect your participation while you are attending a retreat Please ensure that you have enough medication for the duration of your participation in the retreat; even though there are many pharmacies in Mexico, they are far away, and may or may not stock your specific medication. It is imperative that medication dosages are not altered without your physician’s approval.
Planning Your Expenses:
There are ATM machines, and a Bank in Barra de Navidad, and the local hotel can exchange money (at a higher exchange rate). We recommend you bring a combination of US dollars Mexican Pesos and travelers checks. Visa can be used for spa packages. Taxi fare from the airport in Manzanillo ($53.00 US each way). Be prepared to always have some amount of Pesos, (the local currency), and or US dollars as most restaurants and small shops do not take credit cards or debit cards.
Suggestions on what to bring:
Camera with spare batteries and film or Digital Binoculars, particularly if yon are a bird and wild life enthusiast. We recommend clothing appropriate for warm beach weather. Comfortable clothing should be worn for hanging out at the retreat and attending workshops. Bring a pair of jeans or long pants for horseback riding. Sandals or other comfortable beach shoes, plus runners. You may also want to have one or two dressier outfits for dinner. Sunscreen, lip balm, lotion, insect repellent for the evening mosquitos, aspirin etc. should also be packed and a daypack for daily use or while out on excursions.
Communications:
Your cell phone will not work here, unless you have an international calling plait (check with your provider), and it is very expensive. The hotel has Internet access, which can be accessed for approx 5$ US 1/2 hour. It’s a good idea to bring a calling card to make long distance phone calls. We recommend that either a family member or friend have a copy of your itinerary in case of an emergency.
General Transportation Information:
Createher Productions does not provide ground transportation except for scheduled outing. If you would like us to arrange airport pickup and drop off, please notify us at least 1 week before your scheduled arrival date. We will try to book a group vehicle. Taxi fare from Manzanillo airport to the retreat location is approximately $53 US.
